Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a store manager for fresh perimeter departments (bakery, deli, produce, market) to uphold quality, safety, and inventory. You’ll lead interviewing, hiring, training and development, plan staffing, and direct work while ensuring adherence to company standards and customer service excellence.

You will monitor sales trends, manage inventory, and review financials to drive profits.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination.
HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of start in role.
TABC/LACT/AATC/ABLE certifications within 2 weeks where applicable.
Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks.
AML certification within 2 weeks.
Must be 18 years of age; partners 21+ to drive under policy.

Responsibilities

Manage fresh perimeter departments (bakery, deli, produce, market) and ensure product quality and safety.
Interview, hire, train, develop partners; plan, assign, direct work; performance reviews.
Review historical data to predict sales from ads/promotions; manage inventory with item management.
Review P&L, sales, shrink, labor; report issues to upper management; improve sales, cash flow, and margins.
Open/close the store; ensure staffing, safety, and cash handling; enforce food safety standards.
Conduct store inspections; ensure planograms and merchandising plans; maintain pricing and signage accuracy.
