Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff in equipment and procedures.
• Ability to supervise and manage reports, inventory control, cash control.
• Ability to use computer to analyze reports, inventory control, cash control.
• A valid driver’s license and transportation to/from meetings.
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to maintain a clean, stocked site per Company standards.
• Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisors.
• Schedule employees within guidelines to maximize service and site image.
• Implement non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training and counseling.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Promote a safe, positive image within the community.
• Prepare timely performance appraisals for all employees with constructive feedback.
• Train employees to meet customer service, site image and marketing standards.
• Train staff on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
• Ensure timely and clear communication with all site employees and management.
• Organize and maintain site files and manuals.
• Manage reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed and priced correctly.
• Post all required employment posters and notices.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses and take action to maximize sales and profits.
• Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage margins.
• Safeguard and account for money handled on site.
• Perform other financial analyses as needed.
• Work mostly indoors but some outdoor duties for parking lot and pump area maintenance.
• Be prepared for occasional temperature extremes in cooler/freezer areas.
• Work with minimal supervision as an effective manager.
