Job summary

Circle K is seeking a Store Manager at our Augusta, ME location. The role involves leading store operations, supervising staff, optimizing customer service, and maintaining site presentation in line with company standards.

The position requires strong retail experience, English communication skills, and a valid driver's license. You will manage schedules, training, safety procedures and daily financial activities to maximize sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities described.
• Ability to supervise and train for equipment, tools and materials listed in CSR/ASM descriptions.
• Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in CSR/ASM descriptions.
• Ability to use computer and analyze reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
• A valid driver’s license and transportation to/from bank and meetings.
• Ability to communicate (oral and written) in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked and well kept.
• Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisors.
• Schedule employees to maximize customer service and site image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training and counseling.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints.
• Promote safe public image in the community.
• Prepare timely performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Train staff on safety procedures and ensure safety awareness.
• Communicate regularly with all site employees and the Market Manager.
• Organize and maintain site files and manuals; ensure reports are completed.
• Supervise merchandise display, stock levels and pricing accuracy.
• Ensure employment posters are visible and accessible.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize profits; budget and forecast.
