Job summary

Edwin Watts Golf, part of the Worldwide Golf family, invites applications for a Store Manager in Savannah. You will lead a team, drive sales and maintain a positive store culture that reflects the company’s “Sure No Problem” ethos.

You’ll recruit and develop staff, manage schedules, and ensure accurate merchandising. The role requires excellent communication, customer service, and a keen eye for reducing shrink while hitting financial goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retail management or golf industry.

We’ve been in business over 50 years and we are growing!Worldwide Golf is one of the largest golf retailers in the world, giving you more opportunities for growth and mobility.Job Description:The Store Manager at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for building and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. The Store Manager executes the day-to-day plans and strategies to run the store, drive sales & profitably, and exceed financial goals. The Store Manager also has shared ownership for creating a positive golf store experience from a management, customer and employee perspective to the Worldwide Golf standard. Responsibilities Include:Become an Edwin Watts Golf brand ambassador in the local community, making key external relationships and partnershipsControl shrink and expenses while ensuring the sales floor is adequately stocked & signed, and merchandise is displayed to brand presentation.Ensure execution of all visual merchandising programs, modules, and direction as dictated by Store Operations Department by assisting and implementing floor moves, merchandising and display maintenance.Actively recruit for all team positions within the store and create strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.Help employees grow their career and skill set by identifying additional opportunities for growth.Appropriately respond to any negative customer experience by de-escalating the situation and making things right for the customer. Use customer feedback to recognize/coach employees.Evaluate employee performance and identify opportunities and solutions for improvement.Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management, meetings, store walk-throughs and audits, etc.Partner with Regional Manager and Human Resources on all issues involving “on-notice” situations.Create and operate employee schedules.Monitor company communication tools daily and adjust schedule to execute workload as needed.Educate employees on company expectations and monitor employee adherence.
