Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience; cannabis industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Michigan cannabis laws and compliance.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement store policies, procedures and standards.
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members for high performance.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership to execute sales strategies and hit targets.
• Oversee inventory, METRC tracking, and product procurement.
• Maintain accurate financial and compliance records, including manifests and cash handling.
• Educate staff on cannabis products, and industry trends.
• Serve as liaison between store, community, and corporate office.
• Conduct performance reviews and apply rewards or corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure security protocols and opening/closing procedures are followed.
• Attend industry events and training sessions as needed.
• Step in to cover shifts or support operations when staffing is limited.

This role will be responsible for day-to-day store operations, team development, compliance oversight, and sales performance.

• Champion TheChronicMI brand and ensure consistently exceptional customer experience
• Lead and manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations
• Develop and implement store policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance
• Collaborate with corporate leadership to execute sales strategies and hit performance targets
• Oversee inventory management, METRC tracking, and product procurement
• Maintain accurate financial and compliance records, including manifests and cash handling
• Educate staff on cannabis products, consumption methods, and industry trends
• Serve as a liaison between the store, community, and corporate office
• Conduct performance reviews and apply rewards or corrective actions as necessary
• Ensure security protocols and store opening/closing procedures are followed
• Attend industry events, expos, and training sessions as needed
• Step in to cover shifts or support store operations when staffing is limited

• Ability to manage conflict and lead with professionalism and integrity
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems
• Must be 21+ with a valid state ID and eligible to work in the cannabis industry
• Ability to lift 35 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance) and stand for long periods
