Job description

General Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring the store makes a profit by controlling monies, inventories, and safeguarding the company's assets. Ensures all funds are deposited daily, researches and reconciles shortages, and assists in recruiting, hiring, supervising, and training store personnel. Also assists with customer orders, verifies references, and seeks additional business opportunities.

Specific Duties:

1. Manage the entire store operations and oversee all store associates.
2. Maintain accurate computer and paper records, including backups and active files in fireproof cabinets.
3. Protect store property, manage inventory procedures, verify customer orders, conduct daily walk-throughs, and operate the store alarm system.
4. Handle all monies received, ensuring proper cash handling and control procedures.
5. Administer company policies and procedures within the store.
6. Ensure accurate reporting of all company transactions.
7. Supervise store associates' actions, including approving customer orders, collection procedures, product delivery and installation, and service completion.
8. Monitor and support associates' training schedules.
9. Increase store business and maintain customer accounts to company standards.
10. Complete Vehicle Maintenance Reports weekly, review, and ensure proper signatures.
11. Hold weekly meetings with store associates.

Other Duties:

• Increase profits by boosting revenues and reducing controllable expenses.
• Respond promptly to requests from corporate and store management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• DOT certification if required by law; completed management training; minimum six months' management experience in rent-to-own or similar business.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Efforts, Demands, and Conditions:

Work involves changing environments, extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting. May require additional hours and travel. Must handle stress and use equipment like hand trucks. Work settings include store, field, and customer homes, often in challenging conditions.

Attending training sessions may be necessary.

Relationships:

Frequent contact with customers, staff, and management; occasional contact with external partners. Effective communication skills are essential.
