Position Overview

Our store managers are the heart of the Lids brand. They foster passion for sporting and fashion goods by providing exceptional customer service, guiding retail teams, and ensuring product presentation and expertise. The role requires dedication to delivering memorable shopping experiences and leading store operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Control Expenses

• Protect assets following retail policies.
• Manage store schedules and ensure proper coverage within wage guidelines.
• Handle inventory management, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting.
• Maintain documentation and comply with legal standards.
• Open and close the store as per procedures.

Supervise Associates

• Manage staff through training, goal setting, and performance follow-up.
• Recruit, develop, and train personnel.
• Implement disciplinary actions following company protocols.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safeguard company assets.
• Perform duties of team members when necessary.
• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Knowledge & Skills

• Post-secondary education and relevant experience or equivalent.
• Proven sales results and loss minimization.
• Supervisory skills with training capability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel overnight for training or meetings.

Additional Information

Store managers can earn up to twice the local minimum wage based on experience, with potential bonuses and employee discounts. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including PTO, health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
