Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking a Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Goodwill retail store and lead the retail team to meet merchandise standards and enhance the customer shopping experience.

The Store Manager will apply leadership skills to drive sales, manage budgets, and deliver community-focused service while maintaining efficient store operations and strong staff development. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years’ experience in Management.
• Associates' Degree and 2+ years’ experience in Management.
• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years’ experience in Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff, program participants, donors, and customers to achieve sales, budget, and profit objectives and ensure the store/ outlet operates efficiently.
• Support the organization’s mission by achieving sales expectations and delivering customer-focused service.
• Possess excellent oral/ written communication, organizational, management, and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate attention to detail and customer service.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Manager will oversee the overall, daily operations and success of a Goodwill retail store. This position will lead and direct the retail team, meeting merchandise standards to enhance customers’ shopping experience. As the Store Manager, you will utilize your leadership skills and establish a career in retail management while adding value to the community.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership and direction to staff, program participants, donors, and customers to achieve sales, budget, and profit objectives and ensure the store/ outlet operates efficiently.
• Support the organization’s mission by achieving sales expectations and delivering customer-focused service.
• Possess excellent oral/ written communication, organizational, management, and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate attention to detail and customer service.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Status:Regular, Full-time, Exempt.

External Hiring Range:$60,000 - $64,000.

Schedule: Will vary, must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel: Local travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 3 or more years’ experience in Management required.OR

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
• Candidates are expected to completebackground checks assigned by Goodwill SWPA, including a National Criminal Background check, prior to their first day of employment.
• Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
