Job summary

Treasure House Fashions, a Pittsburgh-area nonprofit resale boutique, seeks a Store Manager to oversee daily operations, staff and volunteers, merchandising, customer service, inventory, social media, and sales performance. You will cultivate a welcoming, mission-driven environment and lead scheduling and training while ensuring POS accuracy and reporting.

Approximately 30–32 hours per week, $25 per hour, with paid time off and employee shopping discount.

Qualifications

  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Experience with scheduling and staff supervision.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Able to work Tuesday–Saturday 11AM–4PM.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support store volunteers.
  • Create weekly volunteer schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Train new volunteers on store policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused culture.
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins and provide constructive feedback.
  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing boutique.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Monitor cash handling, deposits, and POS accuracy.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Support Girls Night Out shopping events 2–5 evenings a month.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Meet monthly sales and revenue goals.
  • Encourage customer loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Support promotions, special sales, and fundraising events.
  • Create attractive merchandise displays and ensure stock is organized.
  • Oversee pricing and rotation of merchandise.
  • Manage backroom merchandise and showroom stocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify merchandise needs.
  • Prepare sales reports and operational updates.
  • Track KPIs including sales, transactions, and average purchase value.
  • Assist with budgeting and expense management.
  • Order store supplies as needed.
  • Communicate with the Executive Director regarding store performance.
  • Develop and execute a social media content calendar across platforms.
  • Create engaging content and monitor analytics.

About Treasure House Fashions

Treasure House Fashions is a Pittsburgh-area nonprofit resale boutique that promotes the dignity and self-esteem of women in transition or crisis. The shop serves as the free "closet" for more than 60 partner agencies across the region, while also welcoming retail shoppers who support the mission with every purchase. Clothing is the means - dignity, compassion, and empowerment are the mission.

Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Treasure House Fashions, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience while supporting the organization's mission of providing women with clothing, confidence, and dignity. This position oversees store operations, staff and volunteers, merchandising, customer service, inventory, social media, and sales performance while maintaining a welcoming, organized, and mission-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and support amazing store volunteers.
  • Create weekly volunteer schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Train new volunteers on store policies and procedures.

Store Operations
  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing boutique.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Monitor cash handling, deposits, and point-of-sale accuracy.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Work 2-5 evenings a month to support the Girls Night Out shopping events (open 5-7PM).
Sales & Customer Experience
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Meet monthly sales and revenue goals.
  • Encourage customer loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Support promotions, special sales, and fundraising events.
Merchandising & Inventory
  • Create attractive merchandise displays that reflect current trends.
  • Ensure sales floor is fully stocked and organized.
  • Oversee pricing and rotation of merchandise.
  • Oversee backroom merchandise and direct showroom stocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify merchandise needs.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare sales reports and operational updates.
  • Track key performance indicators including sales, transactions, and average purchase value.
  • Assist with budgeting and expense management.
  • Order store supplies as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with the Executive Director regarding store performance.
Social Media
  • Develop and execute a social media content calendar across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) based on provided calendar.
  • Create engaging and mission-aligned content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) that drives audience interaction and supports campaigns.
  • Monitor analytics to evaluate performance and adjust strategy accordingly; and respond to audience messages/comments in a timely, professional manner.
Mission Support
  • Represent Treasure House Fashions with professionalism and compassion.
  • Help create an environment where every shopper, volunteer, and guest feels valued and respected.
  • Support fundraising events and community outreach activities, as needed.
  • Promote the organization's mission within the community.

Physical Requirements

Compensation & Benefits
  • Approximately 30 - 32 hours per week
