Job summary

Murphy USA is seeking a Store Manager in Tennessee to lead a fast-paced retail operation and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will empower your team, optimize store performance, and drive sales through promotions while maintaining strong store standards.

As a store leader, you’ll hire and coach staff, manage inventory and scheduling, and roll out company initiatives district-wide. This role offers competitive benefits and a clear career path within Murphy USA.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of: Bachelor’s Degree; One year of continuous store or retail management experience; Two years of continuous Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop your team to grow with us, acting as coach and mentor.
• Maintain an operational excellence mindset to manage expenses, drive sales and promotions, order inventory, schedule shifts, and exceed metrics.
• Support rollout of company initiatives and achieve store-level and district goals.
• Demonstrate best-in-class customer service when assisting customers.
• Stock shelves, keep the store clean, operate the cash register and perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Our store managers are the backbone of our teams and keep us united. While leading your team to greatness, you’ll have the autonomy to run your own small business by:

• Hiring, training and developing your team to grow with us – assume the role of a coach and mentor to your team, guiding them toward success and development
• Maintaining a proactive operational excellence mindset to efficiently manage operation expenses, drive sales growth and promotional activities, manage product orders and inventory, schedule shifts, conduct surveys and continuously strive to exceed company metrics
• Supporting rollouts of company initiatives and reaching store-level and district goals
• Helping your team by demonstrating best-in-class customer service when assisting customers
• Stocking, cleaning, working the cash register and any other additional duties, as needed
