Job summary

Murphy USA is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy Murphy USA location, delivering a best-in-class customer experience while driving store performance. You’ll coach your team, manage operations, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers.

You’ll own scheduling, inventory, promotions, and daily cash handling, with a clear path for career growth and competitive benefits designed to reward performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age (19 in Indiana).
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent.
• One year of continuous store or retail management experience.
• Two years of continuous Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop your team to grow with us.
• Maintain proactive operational excellence to manage expenses, drive sales and promotions, and handle inventory.
• Support rollout of company initiatives and achieve store and district goals.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service while assisting customers.
• Stock, clean, operate the cash register, and perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Our store managers are the backbone of our teams and keep us united. While leading your team to greatness, you’ll have the autonomy to run your own small business by:

• Hiring, training and developing your team to grow with us – assume the role of a coach and mentor to your team, guiding them toward success and development
• Maintaining a proactive operational excellence mindset to efficiently manage operation expenses, drive sales growth and promotional activities, manage product orders and inventory, schedule shifts, conduct surveys and continuously strive to exceed company metrics
• Supporting rollouts of company initiatives and reaching store-level and district goals
• Helping your team by demonstrating best-in-class customer service when assisting customers
• Stocking, cleaning, working the cash register and any other additional duties, as needed
