Control Expenses
- Protect company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Prepare store schedules to ensure proper coverage at all times, adhering to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts, following all policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and records in compliance with LIDS Retail policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Manage store associates through training, goal setting, and regular follow-up.
- Recruit, develop, and train personnel to meet operational objectives and adhere to policies.
- Implement disciplinary actions, including warnings and terminations with appropriate approvals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including inventory and asset security.
- Perform duties of subordinates when needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- Post-secondary education (two years) and one year of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven ability to generate sales while minimizing loss.
- Strong supervisory skills, including training delivery and assessment.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
- Willingness to travel overnight for training and meetings.
