Extra Space Storage is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily operations at self-storage locations. The Store Manager oversees the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations with limited direct supervision. This role ensures the facility meets high cleanliness standards, maintains financial accuracy through effective reporting and controls, and consistently delivers operational excellence. The Store Managers are accountable for building customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, presenting a structured sales process, and managing customer accounts.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness through continuous maintenance of the site, including sweeping, mopping, grounds maintenance, and upkeep of the office and storage areas.
Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.
Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and site usage.
Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.
Oversee routine administrative tasks, including maintaining auction files, following up on delinquent accounts, monitoring store budgets, and preparing bank deposits.
Protect our company culture by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all employees.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
2+ years of customer-facing work experience.
Leadership experience preferred but not required.
Sales experience preferred.
Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn.
High School diploma or GED required; college education is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Perform indoor and outdoor responsibilities ranging from sedentary desk work to physical tasks with varying demands and exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
Tasks include standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting.
Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
