Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for supporting merchandising, operational, and human resources functions for an individual store to achieve or exceed sales and profit goals. This role requires a proactive individual who engages with customers, demonstrates integrity, communicates effectively, and works well in a dynamic retail environment. The Store Manager will foster a positive work culture, promote employee involvement, and support change management within the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and manage termination practices, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to internal processes.
• Maintain financial controls, including managing shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses.
• Oversee inventory controls, facilitate transactions, and ensure compliance standards for shrink control.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure excellent customer service.
• Supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service.
• Ensure staff adherence to Citi Trends policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager.
• Additional 5-7 years of retail experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work 45 hours per week, performing physical tasks such as squatting, standing, walking, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling with or without accommodations.
