Job summary

Norman’s Gift Shops, Inc. is seeking a qualified Store Manager for our York, PA location. The candidate will lead store operations, drive sales, and deliver a caring customer experience while managing staff and daily merchandising and promotions.

Requirements include 3+ years in store management and 3+ years in customer service, with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. POS familiarity is essential for accurate inventory and sales processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales while delivering a memorable customer experience.
• Lead the team to maintain a caring, team-focused store atmosphere.
• Oversee payroll budgeting, event planning, shipments, merchandising and promotion execution.
• Learn and manage the POS system to ensure accurate inventory and transactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We expect our Store Managers to show initiative, be decisive and collaborate with our organizational leadership to deliver to their sales and customer service objectives while managing all operational aspects of their store in an efficient and seamless manner.

Store Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which your team is driving retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business. The caring experience within the store begins with YOU.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Command a professional and unbiased leadership style to drive sales results and buy-in amongst your team and management peers.
• Efficiently manage all aspects of the general operations of the store including, but not limited to, payroll budgeting, event planning, shipment processing and merchandising, seamless orders, promotion management, etc.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our point-of-sale software system to ensure accuracy with inventory, sales, and markdowns.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, equivalent or higher.
• Store Management Experience: 3 years or more.
• Customer Service Experience: 3 years or more.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds, e.g., fixture parts and cartons.
