The Store Manager is a shared leadership role responsible for overseeing essential business duties in a fast-paced, complex environment. Responsibilities include managing sales objectives, customer service, staffing, employee relations, management, payroll, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandise presentation. Store Managers utilize standard operating procedures, tools, and checklists to provide clear direction and communication among the leadership team and staff, motivating and driving results. This role involves organizing, delegating, prioritizing, meeting deadlines, and ensuring all activities support exemplary store operations. The Store Manager ensures all company policies and procedures are understood and practiced, keeping the store ready for any 'game day'.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, detail-oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiastic attitude, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, strong merchandising and visual skills.
Minimum 5 years’ retail experience; minimum 2 years in store management and coaching/developing staff; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; sports enthusiast preferred. Must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, reach, differentiate colors, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around equipment and ladders is required.
