The Normal Brand is a fast-growing apparel company selling clothing and accessories online and in over 500 stores across the US. We are hiring for our brick-and-mortar store in Birmingham and seek a hardworking, personable, goal-oriented Store Manager. Each store offers a unique experience where a clean, high-energy, and fun environment is essential. Thinking independently and creatively is crucial.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire, develop, and lead the team to deliver excellent customer experiences and drive revenue.
  • Manage revenue and payroll.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain store staff.
  • Implement high customer service standards throughout the store.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests.
  • Encourage suggestive selling to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to HQ.
  • Maintain a clean store and merchandise to Normal standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the District Leader.
  • Mentor and develop team members through clear communication.
  • Create efficient staffing schedules based on business needs.
  • Educate and train staff on product knowledge.
  • Participate in weekly calls with peers and the District Leader.
  • Foster respectful communication within the team.
  • Secure the store responsibly.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of retail apparel management experience.
  • Willingness to learn from feedback and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with HQ and team.
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Self-motivated, independent, goal-oriented, data-driven, and positive.
  • Experience with inventory integrity, time management, and merchandising.
  • Approachable, friendly personality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-unit store management experience.
  • 6+ years of retail management experience.
  • Experience in the fashion/apparel industry.
  • Passion for customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Shopify and Shopify POS.
  • Strong integrity and fashion sense.
  • Self-awareness and experience as an apparel buyer.
