Job summary

JC Licht, a premier paint and decorating retailer, is seeking a Store Manager for our Yorkville location. You will lead store operations, recruit and train staff, manage inventory and expenses, and ensure outstanding customer service to our neighbors and customers.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of retail management experience, strong financial savvy, and excellent communication. This role offers a path to growth within a family-oriented company that values accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires a two or four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong financial planning and management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication.
• Minimum of 2 years retail experience; inside sales a plus.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work ~50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and train store team members.
• Ensure employees have product knowledge; develop training programs.
• Maintain inventory levels and control expenses.
• Open and close store per policy and complete paperwork on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues.
• Support development of new accounts and sales initiatives.
