Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance and customer service excellence. The MIT role is a transitional program designed to prepare you for promotion into Retail Store Management, with hands-on assignments and structured learning over 8-12 weeks.

MITs focus on leadership development, communication excellence, and operational skills, progressing based on performance and management availability within AutoZone.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail supervisor/manager experience.
• Full-time flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, overtime.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience in automotive retail or analyzing financials (e.g., Profit & Loss statements) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of store team performance and WOW customer service.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations and ensure policies are followed with structured training.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
• Take charge of customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn key store operations.
