Job summary

FirstCash is seeking a Retail Store Management Trainee in Anchorage. The role targets external applicants with management experience who want to fast-track into Store Management. The position offers an hourly wage with commission and performance bonuses, with growth into store leadership.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail management experience, a flexible schedule, and readiness to work in a dynamic store environment handling jewelry, tools, electronics, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have retail management experience with leadership ability.
• Ability to supervise others and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Foster a customer-centric environment and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet company standards.
• Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, manage cash and assets per procedures.
• Maintain asset protection via inventory control and secure loans.
• Administer store processes: inventory, loans, merchandising, reporting.
• Analyze store financials and drive profitability through goals.
• Ensure operating standards meet company policy.
• Monitor loan qualifications and buying processes for integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for development.
• Communicate clearly to ensure understanding of mission and goals.
• Stay informed on product knowledge and store offerings.
• Assistant Store Manager serves as manager on duty in absence of Store Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
