Job summary

Buff City Soap in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive store performance and deliver a best-in-class client experience. This role supervises Makery operations, leads a team, and ensures an energetic, positive environment with a focus on service and productivity.

You will coach staff, manage stock, prepare sales reports, and support the Store Manager with revenue and expense control while upholding Buff City Soap standards. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• College education preferred but not required.
• Management and/or sales experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Skilled trainer, motivator, and leadership qualities desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily Makery operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example to create a client-centric experience and meet sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean Makery environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
• Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, production and assist with other Makery Manager functions.
• Assist the Store Manager in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Ability to work nights & weekends.
• Candidate should expect to work five days per week, and approximately a 30-to-45-hour work schedule depending on hourly or salary status.
