At Kurtz Bros, Inc. we produce the finest topsoil, mulch, and compost for beautiful yards and gardens. We hire at our eight store locations: Avon, Akron, Hudson, Garfield Heights, North Canton, Strongsville, Valley View & Willowick.

Our typical time frame for hires is approximately 6 months but can vary based on the season and availability. Our hours extend come March, so we look to bring new team members onboard then, weather permitting. Seasonal employees are eligible for benefits such as 401k and employee discounts (waiting period applies). We offer flexible schedules and strive to create a fun and enjoyable workplace!

We are seeking dynamic and responsible individuals who thrive in outdoor settings and can operate front-end loaders at our store locations as STORE LOADER/OPERATORS. Responsibilities include loading landscape supply products (mulch, soil, etc.) into customer vehicles. Experience with material handling equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Environment

• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently stand, talk, and hear. Occasionally walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and smell.
• Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Work often occurs outdoors in various weather conditions. Employees may work near moving mechanical parts and are exposed to wet, humid conditions, vibration, loud noises, hot/cold temperatures, dust, and other environmental factors.
• Employees operating company-owned equipment must pass a drug screening.
