Job summary

Dollar General Store Manager Candidate in New Mexico is tasked with supporting the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, merchandising, and store operations. This role is designed for developing external candidates toward aStore Manager position for a limited period.

You will supervise employees, handle stock and receiving, maintain paperwork, and ensure clean, safe store conditions while upholding company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and store security practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Manage inventory processes including damages, markdowns, and scans.
• Follow ordering procedures to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and adherence to company policies.
• Participate in opening/closing store activities and cash deposits.
• Review operating statements for trends and cost controls.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
