Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores in Prattville, AL, seeks a Manager in Training to step into a full-time leadership role designed to support growth and expansion. You will gain broad operational experience before transitioning into a permanent management assignment.

You will help inspire team members to live out the company mission and values, support financial and operational goals, develop people, and build expertise across sales, donations, loss prevention, and store operations.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people-development skills to coach and grow the team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer focus.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexible to evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Uphold policies, safety standards, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Asset Protection and leadership to address incidents.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
• Manage daily store operations and assist with scheduling and cash handling.
• Support recruitment, hiring, and staff development during training.
