Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn how to manage profitable store operations with a focus on merchandising, signage, and inviting store displays. You will recruit and mentor associates, ensure compliance, and lead daily operations with a customer-first mindset.

The role emphasizes training, coaching, and coordinating with corporate directives to maximize profit and provide exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers
• Foster growth and development of associates through training
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution
• Protect company assets
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
