Job summary

SNIPES, a leading sneaker and streetwear retailer, seeks a Manager in Training to run store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This entry-level management role focuses on driving sales, staff leadership, and top-notch customer service.

The role emphasizes merchandising execution, team development, and adherence to company standards while contributing to store profitability and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required.
• Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Strong drive to achieve results.
• Takes initiative and has problem solving skills.
• Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
• Lifting between 15-30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding goals. Provide high-level customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with communicating store goals to maximize team contributions toward sales plan.
• Assist in evaluating performance in sales volume, hourly production, UPTs, charge accounts and loss prevention.
• Demonstrate leadership to assist Store Manager in managing staff.
• Execute floor set guides and promotions in a timely manner.
• Direct and maintain merchandise presentation per Visual Merchandising standards.
• Identify customer merchandise needs and ensure assortment meets these needs.
• Work with Store Manager to ensure markdowns and transfers are completed correctly.
• Ensure store meets company standards for cleanliness on sales floor and in stockroom.
