Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, diagrams and procedures.
• Perform basic arithmetic for pricing and audits.
• Know cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Learn IBM cash register functions and reports.
• Understand inventory management and merchandising basics.
• Follow cash, safety and facility control policies.
• Recruit, interview and hire while following legal rules.
• Communicate clearly, both oral and written.
• Build effective interpersonal relations with staff.
• Stay organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced store.
• Some locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, and store processes.
• Assist with merchandising, staging and pricing merchandise.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership to the team.
• Model company procedures and policies for staff.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure funds are deposited safely and accurately.
• Maintain cash controls and prevention of shrink.
• Keep the store clean, well-stocked and safe.
• Assist in decisions on sales trends and expenses.
• Complete all required paperwork on time.
