Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in executing store processes, supervising employees, inventory control, stocking and receiving, and completing paperwork. This role accepts an external candidate for a limited period and emphasizes development into the Store Manager position.

The candidate will participate in staffing, merchandising, and daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposit controls and cashier accountability.
• Experience with cash register functions and generating reports.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and stock merchandise with proper signage and pricing.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Monitor in-stock targets and ordering practices to meet goals.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and model company policies.
