Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking an Assistant Store Manager/Manager-in-Training for its thrift store. This full-time role partners with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, manage sales goals, and ensure store maintenance and security.

The 90-day Manager-in-Training program is designed to prepare you for advancement to a Store Manager role while you benefit from a comprehensive benefits package and meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage operations.
• Knowledge of banking and record-keeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support staff training and supervision as assigned.
• Implement strategies to meet production and sales goals.
• Assist with store maintenance, safety, and budgeting.
• Protect resources and reduce shrinkage.
• Develop customer retention plans and create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain banking and record-keeping procedures.
• Communicate with Store Manager about operations.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
