Job summary

Huck’s Market in Illinois is seeking a Senior Associate to operate shifts efficiently, deliver prompt customer service, and support Store Manager duties. The role requires covering peak hours, assisting with scheduling, and upholding company standards across operations.

The Senior Associate will handle bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate cash handling, and participate in merchandising, maintenance, safety, and app-based loyalty promotions.

Responsibilities

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service, including greeting customers via the gasoline intercom and adhering to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift operating hours and helps fill shifts as assigned by the Store Manager
• Works the Store Manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week during peak hours
• Performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with store associates and management
• Follows all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances pertaining to store operations
• Provides a role model of conduct for associates
• Ensures management is aware of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Ensures all associates are in proper uniform and provide prompt, courteous service
• Completes shift change reports and clocks hours accurately
• Records all sales, over rings, refunds, and daily deposits as directed
• Treats associates with dignity and protests management of personnel issues
• Maintains secure handling of cash and merchandise and follows vendor check-in procedures
• Keeps store stocked and fronted, maintains equipment, and uses correct pricing per policy
• Maintains store appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation across maintenance areas
• Ensures safe lifting, ladder use, and wet floor sign procedures and reports accidents promptly
• Promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and assists customers with sign-up and usage
