Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership, customer service excellence, and operational expertise. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs gain hands-on assignments and structured learning to prepare for a Retail Store Management role.

Within 8–12 weeks, progression to management is possible based on prior experience and performance, with a focus on live the pledge, WOW customer service, and team development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year: 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible schedule with full-time availability (mornings, nights, weekends, overtime).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Exceptional communication: strong people skills in Spanish and English.
• Automotive retail: experience in auto parts retail or analyzing financials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing store team and foster development.
• Support store operations, policies, and training processes.
• Deliver WOW customer service and resolve customer concerns proactively.
• Assist with staffing, merchandising, and sales initiatives.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements.
