Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and delivering exceptional customer service. • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Ensure proper staffing and opening/closing each day as required.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability, stock levels and shrink.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and adherence to cash control procedures.
