Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
  • Experience in a retail management role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and basic store operations.
  • Ability to read diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
  • Familiarity with IBM cash registers and reporting functions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to recruit, train, and evaluate staff in compliance with laws.
  • Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all store employees and daily operations.
  • Ensure proper staffing and scheduling to meet store needs.
  • Lead training, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Set pay rates and advancement opportunities as appropriate.
  • Communicate performance and safety expectations; conduct meetings.
  • Open and close the store as required, ensuring security measures.
  • Monitor sales, profitability, and inventory levels to meet targets.
  • Review ordering plans and stock replenishment weekly.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling, register accuracy, and deposits.
