Job summary

Macy's invites applicants for a nationwide on-site Store Management Internship Program running June–August 2027. This 8-week paid internship exposes you to customer service, merchandising, business analysis, and store operations while you learn leadership and team development.

You will shadow managers, analyze trends, and work on real projects with store leadership. A 3.0 GPA and junior-year status are preferred; all majors considered. Eligible for performance-based incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• In your junior year, pursuing a bachelor's degree with a 3.0 GPA preferred.
• All majors will be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Manager of Sales & Customer Experience to gain leadership insights and receive feedback.
• Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product merchandising initiatives.
• Engage with leaders across various business functions within your store and region.
• Develop a customer-focused selling environment by coaching and developing a team of colleagues.
• Support smooth daily store operations by training and coaching colleagues.
• Analyze trends with business partners to select merchandise meeting customer needs.
• Explore retail strategies by analyzing big-picture retail strategies.
• Be part of a performance-driven team that values collaboration and growth.
• Take opportunities to innovate, test, and implement new ideas.
• Demonstrate learning through a project and presentation to store leadership for growth ideas.
• Foster an Environment of Acceptance and Respect with colleagues, customers, and communities.
