Job summary

Walmart in Baxter, MN seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead and develop teams, teach training, and listen to associates to improve store operations. You will communicate goals, implement business initiatives, and model exceptional customer service through the OBW service model while guiding change efforts.

You will drive store sales and profit by managing budgets, forecasting, inventory flow, and merchandising, while implementing action plans to reduce shrink.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, CBC and firearms training may be required.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership and prior experience supervising 5+ direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback.
• Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training and mentoring, assigning duties and promoting a sense of belonging.
