Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, managing inventory, stocking and receiving, and completing paperwork. This role is designed to develop internal candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

Key responsibilities include recruiting and staffing, merchandising, inventory management, maintaining cash controls, opening/closing duties, and ensuring customer service leadership

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret store procedures and safety rules.
• Experience in retail or store operations preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and signing/ pricing of merchandise.
• Oversee inventory management and stock control including damage and markdowns.
• Open/close store and ensure cash controls and deposits are properly handled.
• Provide customer service leadership and model company procedures.
