Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to collaborate with the Store Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing store operations to meet cost controls, labor targets, and sales goals. You will ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment and supervise daily store activities from merchandising to staffing and training.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail grocery setting.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Currently enrolled in Manager Apprentice Program and/or
Minimum of one year as Store Manager/Director or three years as Assistant Store Manager/Director or equivalent management experience.

Responsibilities

Plans, coordinates and manages store operations to control costs and meet labor targets.
Monitors store appearance, cleanliness, efficiency and productivity.
Maintains safe environment for customers and employees; manages liability costs.
Leads by example; supervises hiring, training, discipline and staff development.
Manages merchandising plans and product rotation; oversees stock availability.
Performs delegated Store Manager duties in their absence and supports achievement of labor/profit goals.
