WinCo Foods in Helena, MT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in planning, coordinating and managing store operations to control costs, meet labor targets, and provide a safe, pleasant shopping environment for customers and employees. Monitors maintaining and replenishing of stock in order to continually meet customers’ purchasing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in Manager Apprentice Program or 1 year as Store Manager/Director or 3 years as Assistant Store Manager/Director, or equivalent management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership and interpersonal skills; maintaining composure with customers and co-workers.
• Supervisory skills: interviewing, scheduling, hiring, counseling, training, disciplining.
• Proficient with Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Analytical and detail-oriented; monitor progress and complete assignments.
• Solid understanding of company policies; able to judge customer and employee needs.
• Age requirements: MT/OR 18+, other states 21+.

Responsabilités

• Manages the Grocery department, ensuring compliance with policies, laws and the bargaining agreement.
• Maintains store appearance, cleanliness, efficiency and productivity and prioritizes store priorities.
• Maintains a safe environment to control costs and incidents.
• Leads by example with integrity, appearance and professional conduct.
• Monitors labor utilization and productivity in the grocery department.
• Evaluates and implements store merchandising plans.
• Performs store personnel functions: hiring, training, counseling, and disciplining.
• Performs delegated Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of Store Manager.
• Assists Store Manager in achieving labor and productivity goals.
• Monitors and maintains product quality, stocking, rotation and expiration control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
