Job summary

The role requires guiding associates, managing budgeted expenses, and implementing company initiatives while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers in the community. The Store Manager will lead by example, mentor staff, and engage in community outreach, while maintaining compliance with company policies and EdLP/EdLC

Qualifications

• 2 years’ college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, CBC and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
• Associates will be required to attend and complete all trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, and providing feedback.
• Drives store financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, setting clear expectations and recognition.
• Ensures customer service standards and resolves issues by following Walmart’s One Best Way (OBW) model.
• Coordinates store operations including merchandising, inventory flow, and process improvements to enhance customer experience.
