Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and store security procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret operating guidelines and safety instructions.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Ensure the store is opened and closed each day.
• Personally open the store at least twice weekly and close at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability, and turnover.
• Manage inventory: ordering, BSR, and cycle counts; review weekly targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage are according to policy.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash control.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available to perform tasks.
• Follow SOPs, handbooks, and communications; ensure compliance.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
