Job summary

AutoZone in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll collaborate with the Store Manager on recruiting, scheduling, training, and development of store personnel, while ensuring WOW! customer service, inventory accuracy, and compliant store merchandising. ASE Certification preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive parts knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience with strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, supervision, scheduling, training, and staff development.
• Ensure clear communication with staff and customers.
• Help meet sales targets and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain store merchandising and cleanliness.
• Resolve customer concerns and turn complaints positive.
• Oversee operations in absence of managers; ensure standards.
• Promote PPE use and workplace safety; assist risk management.
• Analyze P&L and monitor expenses to maximize profitability.
