Job summary

AutoZone is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead with strong communication, develop staff, and uphold WOW! customer service in a high-performance store.

You’ll oversee store merchandising, safety compliance, and budgeting efforts while mentoring a diverse team and delivering exceptional results. ASE certification is preferred and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive parts knowledge.
• Proven leadership and strong communication, decisive and sales-driven.
• Integrity and professionalism with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments while driving operational excellence.
• Experience managing, analyzing, and reconciling Profit & Loss statements.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise safely; flexible to evenings/weekends/holidays.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training and developing staff.
• Ensure clear communication with employees and customers.
• Lead sales growth by meeting targets and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain store merchandising, cleanliness, and visual appeal.
• Ensure PPE use and safety compliance.
• Support budgeting, analyze P&L, and control expenses.
