Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies to keep the store staffed.
• Provide proper training, perform evaluations and address gaps up to termination when needed.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, safety, and conduct expectations regularly to the team.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring coverage two times weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor in-stock targets, ordering plans and inventory issues weekly.
• Staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, signage and pricing meet standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and security/control procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service leadership and a safe store environment.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and adequately equipped.
