Famous Footwear in Santa Fe, NM seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team in the Store Manager’s absence, delivering the best shoe store experience for the whole family. You’ll train and coach associates, drive sales, manage inventory, and ensure store standards across customer engagement and presentation.

You love shoes and stay up to date on trends while coaching others to do the same. You’ll foster a culture of loyalty to our brands and the Famous Feeling through hands-on leadership

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store associates.
• Strong problem solving, decision making, and financial analysis skills.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connection and deliver excellent service with integrity.
• Interview, hire, and develop associates in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Manage daily operations including pricing, shipping, and inventory.
• Drive sales and use insights to improve store performance.
• Build a positive, inclusive culture and lead by example.
