Job summary

Famous Footwear is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team and deliver a superior customer experience. You’ll act as the store leader in the absence of the Store Manager, coach associates, and ensure daily operations align with company standards for sales and service.

You’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive performance, schedule, and training, while maintaining a positive, inclusive culture and a focus on results across the store team.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring and training people.
• Ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate with store staff.
• Ability to train and develop associates for engaging customer experiences.
• Uses independent judgment with store leadership in collaboration with Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connection and coaching moments for selling behaviors.
• Assist in talent discovery and interviewing to hire passionate associates.
• Oversee retail operations and staffing levels to keep the store running smoothly.
