Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead and learn the profitable operations of the assigned store. You will recruit and develop associates, manage daily merchandising and store signage, and implement directives from corporate HQ to drive performance.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, compliance, and safeguarding assets, with a focus on building a high-energy, team-oriented environment. Full-time role located at our Bay City store.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full legal compliance and enforce company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate HQ.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
