Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in McAlester, OK to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus and supervise staff under Store Manager guidance. You will handle merchandising, inventory, deposits, scheduling, and cashier operations, while protecting assets and maximizing profitability.

In this role you will support daily store operations, train employees, ensure safety and policy compliance, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction and revenue

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and perform basic calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Mansioni

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels by controlling damages and markdowns.
• Ensure planograms are maintained and merchandise presented per standards.
• Maintain financial integrity with cashier accountability, deposits, and refunds approvals.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager’s absence.
