Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Tahlequah, OK. You will help keep the store clean, organized and customer-focused, while supporting the Store Manager with supervision of staff and merchandising.

The role includes cash handling, deposits, planograms, and ensuring store profitability and safety. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in retail with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash-handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and displays per planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with deposits and cash controls.
• Support store operations in manager's absence.
