Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee all store operations, staffing, and merchandising. You will ensure excellent customer service, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety and cash-control standards.

You will lead a team, schedule shifts, train staff, monitor performance, and report to the corporate office as needed. This full-time role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per labor laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and counsel employees; terminate when necessary.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate expectations and conduct regular meetings to ensure safety and policy adherence.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends and control expenses.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, replenishment and inventory.
