Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• At least one year of retail management experience.
• Strong organizational and math skills for counts and calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage employee pay rate recommendations and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety, and policy expectations.
• Open and close the store daily and manage staffing.
• Monitor sales, expenses, and inventory to meet targets.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing and signage.
• Maintain security and cash controls.
